Anyone who
loves Elvira (and who doesn't?), remembers the extremely popular TV horror-show
"Movie Macabre", that Elvira hosted in the eighties. But what you probably
didn't know is that it all began in Las Vegas. At
the age of seventeen, just days after graduating high school, Elvira, well actually
Cassandra Peterson, left Colorado and headed for Vegas, where she would become one of the
youngest showgirls in Las Vegas history.
In her smash 1989 movie, Elvira - Mistress of the Dark", Elvira
dreams of financing her own show in, you guessed it, Las Vegas. She leaves Hollywood in
her customized "Macabremoblie" to claim what she thinks is an inheritance
waiting for her in Massachusetts. Instead, all she finds is tons of trouble. But she
finally gets want she really wants in the end - her own Las Vegas stage show, where she
uses her ample assets to the fullest including with song, dance and more. Click here to

In October of 1982 Elvira was on stage again, this time at Knott's Scary
Farm. The Queen of Halloween performed live fifteen Halloween seasons as Knott's Scary
Farm "hostess with the mostess", bringing down the house with original
"Vegas" style extravaganza's combining her seductive song, dance and comedic
talents with elaborate sets, special effects and dancers. Click

Elvira may not behosting Knott's Berry Farms
haunt anymore, but you can still see her perform around the country
during October. Check her web site for details. And if you just
can't wait, pick up a copy of "Elvira's Haunted Hills". An independent feature, the movie was filmed entirely on location
over a two month period in Transylvania and at Mediapro Studios in Romania. The film takes
place in 1851 Carpathia and is a parody of the classic Vincent Price/ Edgar Allen Poe
films of the early sixties. You'll die laughing!
